 Rules

Watchers and Watchers: Restoration are not eligible to compete.

Only episodes during the 2004-2005 virtual season are eligible.

You may submit your nominations from January 11th, 2005 until June 30th 2005.

No NC-17 sites allowed. R and under please.

Any show is welcome to submit but, like the real Emmy Awards, only five (5) contenders will be selected from our list of nominees to compete for the Virtual Emmy in any given category.

CN Winters will be selecting the top five (which is why Watchers will not be competing) and the judges will be reviewing each category to award the final prize.

We must have at least three (3) final contenders per category in order to judge it, although we'd like to have five (5). If we have less than three (3) no prize will be awarded.

You can submit to as many categories as you feel you are qualified for.

Series Continuations, alternative series, spin-off series and original series may all be nominated if your nomination fits that category (see categories for details).

You may only make one episode submission per category. For example, if you're nominating yourself for Best Dramatic Series pick one episode you feel is the strongest in this genre. It will also help your chances if this episode is a stand alone episode - that means the reader doesn't have to follow the entire series to understand what's happening in the episode plot.

You can nominated any episodes from your season that fit the categories. In other words, let's say you decide to submit to Best Comedy Series and Best Female Character. The episode you chose for each category doesn't have to be the same. They may be different episode. Again, it helps if the episode you choose is a stand alone episode.

When submitting in your category, pretty please with sugar on top, give us the episode name as well as the direct link. This saves both of us time because I won't have to email you and you won't have to answer. I understand that some people have egroups and don't have direct linking. For these people an episode name is imperative - a must have. We can't judge you in a category if we don't know what episode we're supposed to be reading. As for linking on an egroup you must have a notice in your main page and a link to us saying you are nominated before we can judge your episodes.

When asked if you've read the rules answer: "Well, duh Ms. Winters!"

This site will be updated the first day of every month. Please don't email asking why your nomination isn't on the site. I'll try to add them as I get them but my time is limited too. You all run VS's so you know how it is.

You will, however, get confirmation that you nomination is received within 72 hours of sending it. If you don't hear back from me in four days please resend the form.  Again, as for it appearing on the nominees page, keep in mind it will be added ASAP or in the next monthly update.

You must put a code on your site before submitting and link it to us at http://www.cnscaldron.com/virtualemmys/index.htm. When you go to submit your nomination on the nomination page there will be an address space where you can tell us where our code is located. If this is not filled in or the code is not present and correctly linked to the new site, the nomination will be rejected.  Again for egroups we need a link on your main page.

If you have further questions not answered here be sure to check out our FAQ page before email. If not...
