Frequently Asked Questions

Before emailing a question, check out our FAQ list:

I run two (or more) virtual series. Can I nominated more than one series in any category?

Yes you can but you'll be competing against yourself. However there's no reason you can't nominate more than one series you produce as long as it fits the category that you're applying to.

I don't see my nomination on the site yet. Why?

We update the first day of every month. We'll try to do nomination uploads ASAP but running a series ourselves we might not have the time.

How do I know if you got my nomination?

We'll send you email confirmation within 72 hours. If you don't hear from us by day four resend the submission again.

I don't understand why only five series are allowed to compete per category but the nomination page lists lots of them. What gives?

We list everyone who contacts us and wants to compete for a Virtual Emmy Award. However, like the real Emmy Awards, I'll be selecting only five from the entire lot of nominations for final judging. Also like the Emmy's, only one award per category will be handed out to winners. No runner ups. Everyone who competes however will get a banner to display for taking part.

Can I do anything to improve my chances of winning?

Our judges can't read everything out there so stand alone episodes have the greatest chance of being well received. That means the episode should be easy enough to follow without having to read the entire series. Another fact to consider is presentation. This includes how the story/site looks, story structure (grammar, punctuation, etc. etc.) and of course the writing itself (plot, characterization, dialogue, etc.)

As webmasters have more questions we'll be updating this page so check back often. If you still have questions email cnwinters71@yahoo.com
